A two-component, fast-drying epoxy coating with a high content of barrier additives (MIOX – micaceous iron oxide) designed for the protection of surfaces on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It offers excellent anticorrosion properties.

Description

• Excellent adhesion to ferrous and non-ferrous metals (aluminum, hot-dip galvanized surfaces);
• High content of micaceous iron oxide (MIOX);
• Resistance to scratching and wear;
• Heat resistance of the film up to 200°C;
• Usable at low temperatures (down to –5°C);
• Resistant to solvents, acids, bases, and their vapors;
• Compatibility with various organic-based top coatings;
• Ability to apply in thick layers without sagging – up to 300 μm;
• Forms water-and vapor-impermeable coating;
• High elasticity and resistance to linear expansions;
• Coating with high solids content and low consumption per unit thickness.

Purpose

This coating is used for protecting industrial facilities, pipelines, storage tanks, and metal structures from atmospheric corrosion and heavy chemical loads. It is characterized by exceptional strength and abrasion resistance. It is applied as an intermediate or topcoat in anticorrosion systems for severe environments (C4/C5 according to ISO 12944-2) and is suitable for use at very low temperatures (down to –5°C).
